Rurouni Kenshin : The Wandering Samurai

The language used in this anime is very rich and important. Most of the things that the main character, Kenshin Himura says are very deep and full of meaning, as are shown in the quotes section. An example of this is this quote of Kenshin,

"You can always die. It's living that takes real courage."
this quote is very ingenious and shows how deeply developed the language in the show is. Another quote from the anime Rurouni Kenshin is from another one of the characters, Sanosuke Sagara
"Stop kidding yourself! Miracles, destiny. The only thing that can save your life isn't a miracle, and it isn't God, it's you. The will to live, to experience life to the fullest, and the support of your friends. Those are the kind of miracles life gives you."
This quote is also very important as it deals with life and that every one should live life to the fullest and enjoy what life has given you. The main point of the language used in this anime is to show this point and the theme of this anime is to show the same thing the quote is showing, live life to the fullest and cherish what it has given you.

The main character uses language to show changes in his emotions and behavior when he reverts to his old self, Battousai, the manslayer as people who have watched Kenshin would have noticed. When this change occurs Kenshin's eyes become yellow and the tone of his voice changes and seems more evil. The main character uses the phrase "that I am" that tells the viewers that he has been able to lock up the Battousai in him and become his old self again.
